Solar & Storage Live 2021

Last week, MCS were pleased to exhibit at Solar & Storage Live.

On Tuesday, Chris Roberts launched our new Battery Installation Standard. Bolstering our roster of technologies, this Standard is designed to better equip the industry to roll out battery storage installations while ensuring protection for consumers. This technology Standard has seen great interest from our installers, as this pairs well with Solar PV installations, providing consumers with complete renewable electricity systems that are fully MCS certified. CEO Ian Rippin also took part in a panel with other senior members in the industry, discussing the issues with current installer numbers and staff training across the sector.

Wednesday morning was opened up with Ian and Chris Hewett of Solar Energy UK announcing the MCS and SEUK partnership. Providing MCS certified installers with brilliant benefits, this partnership was cemented later that afternoon with a joint drinks reception. Figures from across the industry were present and the event was excellent for networking.

Our final day didn’t let up, with the exhibition floor busy right up until the show’s close. Over the three days, we met lots of domestic electricians looking to become MCS certified and move into renewables. We also talked to lots of currently certified installers, answering their questions and helping them with any issues they had.

Solar & Storage was a fantastic opportunity to meet stakeholders face to face, following over a year and a half of Covid restrictions.
