Championing Wales: A Housing Industry Leaders Podcast Special

The latest data from MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) shows that Wales is leading the UK in terms of uptake of small-scale renewable energy installations per household. Last week, our CEO, Ian Rippin, shared this exciting news with Housing Industry Leaders Podcast in a special feature.

Scotland has nearly double the number of households as Wales and has previously dominated the UK in terms of installation uptake. However, in the last few months, Wales overtook Scotland for the first time since 2021, with 7.4% of households having some form of renewable energy installation. Even more impressive, according the MCS Data Dashboard, Wales has now, this month, surpassed 100,000 total installations!
