string(2119) "Later this month, the Solar & Storage Live exhibition returns to Birmingham’s NEC Arena, in what remains the UK’s largest gathering of the solar and energy storage industries.

Taking place 17th – 19th September, the exhibition promises to bring together the entire energy value chain, with experts, innovators and disruptors from the solar, EV and storage industries.

The presence from national certification scheme MCS comes ahead of the impending launch of their new Battery Storage Installation Standard and will be complemented by the presentation of a new self-consumption tool.

You will find MCS on stand F40 for the duration of the exhibition.

MCS will be joined on their stand by representatives from Advance Further Energy (AFE). AFE, with the support from Loughborough University and BRE National Solar Centre (NSC), recently authored and published the MCS guidance note on self-consumption.

Dr Andrew Crossland is set to present the new guidance note in the Energy Storage stream at the exhibition on 18th September at 4.40pm. Dr Crossland said, “This event is a great platform to showcase to the world the new guidance note which outlines how to determine the electrical self-consumption of domestic solar photovoltaic (PV) installations with and without electrical energy storage.”

Ian Rippin, CEO of MCS added, “We are excited to be exhibiting at Solar and Storage Live for the first time in our history! There is certainly a great deal to talk about, including the launch of the new MCS Battery Storage installation standard and self-consumption tool; both of which have been developed to support the UK’s solar industry following the closure of the government’s Feed-in Tariff. It is more important than ever that the sector benefits from independent, industry led standards and guidance that the next generation of renewable consumers can place their trust in."

You can book a free ticket to attend here."
