MCS will be speaking and exhibiting at Retrofit Action Week 2023

MCS is supporting the UK’s first Retrofit Action Week (RAW) 9-15 October 2023. RAW is an opportunity for local organisations to come together to discuss the urgent need for retrofit home upgrades across Greater Manchester. MCS is getting involved to showcase how MCS certified products and installations can give homeowners the confidence to retrofit their homes and generate their own energy.

Retrofit Action Week takes place in two stages. The first stage is Manchester Retrofit Summit 2023, a three-day convention of virtual seminars. The second stage is The Home Upgrade Show 2023, a two-day exhibition at Manchester’s Victoria Baths.

 

Manchester Retrofit Summit 2023

Manchester Retrofit Summit 2023 takes place across three mornings, Monday 9 – Wednesday 11 October, via the virtual events platform Remo. Attendees can listen to daily presentations on topics such as low-carbon heating, resident engagement and funding, and also meet in small groups for discussions and networking. MCS is one of six ‘Brand Partners’ of the summit and will be presenting at a live panel discussion. Find the current schedule here.

 

The Home Upgrade Show 2023

The Home Upgrade Show 2023 will take place at Manchester’s historic Victoria Baths on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 October. The two-day exhibition will showcase the latest retrofit related products, services, and innovation.

MCS are partnering with Green Economy, an organisation that supports businesses in their transition to Net Zero. Together, we will be hosting the Local Green Supplier Zone, showcasing local installers offering small-scale retrofit services. Exhibiting in the Local Green Supplier Zone will be:

Day one of the exhibition, 13 October, is dedicated to contractors and suppliers. MCS will be on stand to talk about the benefits of home-grown energy for your consumers and the difference that becoming MCS certified can make for your business. There will also be a series of workshops and interactive training sessions available for you to attend throughout the day.

On day two of the exhibition, 14 October, the event will open up to homeowners and community representatives. Visit us on stand so we can support you with your home upgrade journey and show you why consumers place so much emphasis on the value of an MCS certified installation. We can also offer insight on the Government incentive schemes that MCS certification allows you to access, including the Smart Export Guarantee and the Boiler Upgrade Scheme.
