MID/Benchmark Online integration set to make heat pump commissioning quicker and easier

Open laptop in use.

For the first time, Benchmark Online and the MCS Installations Database (MID) will be integrated to create a single point of data entry for commissioning and certifying heat pumps simultaneously.

Benchmark is a scheme promoting best practice in installation, commissioning and servicing of domestic heating and hot water systems. The Benchmark commissioning checklist must be completed in full to demonstrate the heating system is installed per the manufacturer’s instructions and the warranty is valid.

To make this process quicker and easier for installers, Benchmark recently went digital and the checklist can now be completed online or in a mobile app. Now, for the first time, Benchmark Online is being developed to include heat pump commissioning.

As part of this development, the app is being integrated with the MID to save installers time by only having to fill out the information once for both commissioning and certifying,

Integrating the MID and Benchmark will result in a single point of data entry for the first time to simplify the process for Benchmark installers employed by the nearly 1,700 MCS certified heat pump contractors.
