Join MCS at Everything Electric for the first time

Technical Manager, Lucy McKenzie,in conversations with contractors at InstallerSHOW 2023.

MCS is exhibiting at all three Everything Electric UK events in 2024, the world’s number one home energy and electric vehicle show.

This is the first year we will be exhibiting at Everything Electric, kicking off at Everything Electric London on Thursday 28 – Saturday 30 March at the ExCel London!

Our friendly team will be on hand to discuss installing small-scale renewables in your home as well as the technologies available to you, benefitting both your energy bills and the environment. We will be able to give more insight into the Government incentive schemes that MCS certified products and installers allow you access to, such as the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG), and the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS), which has recently been increased to an allowance of £7,500 per air source and ground/water source heat pump installation across England and Wales.

You will also get the opportunity to talk to us about our new responsibilities under the new Scheme. We are putting consumer protection at the heart of our Scheme and taking a major role in complaints management for the sector. This will have a positive impact on both consumers with current MCS certified installations and those looking to install renewables in their homes as we become your one point of contact for any assistance you may need.

We are excited to be joining OVO on stand at the exhibitions! OVO are an MCS certified contractor, and they invited us to collaborate on stand at Everything Electric to provide MCS Experts to discuss with consumers the benefits of an MCS certified installation.

OVO said “We are really pleased to have MCS as part of our OVO sponsored Energy Advice Stand at this year’s Everything Electric show. We believe that if consumers have confidence in their installation partners we can accelerate the shift towards net zero, that’s why we’ve chosen to be MCS accredited across all of our products including solar PV, battery storage and air source heat pump installations”.

Who is MCS?

MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) is an industry-led quality assurance Scheme. We create and maintain standards in collaboration with industry experts, that enable the certification of products, installers, and their installations. We certify low-carbon products and installations used to produce electricity and heat from renewable sources. MCS is a mark of quality, it ensures all installations are completed to the highest standard every time.

Where can I attend?

Everything Electric London

We attended our first Everything Electric event in London and it was a busy three days for the MCS team who were on stand to discuss everything surrounding renewable technologies. We also partnered with OVO Energy as part of their Energy Advice Zone to discuss investing in low-carbon technologies directly with consumers ready to make the switch.

Our Technical Manager, Lucy McKenzie, delivered speaker sessions over the three days on ‘Why you should use a quality-assured installer for your renewable installation’, this was greatly received and highlighted the benefits of MCS certification.

In Day three, Dan White, our Market Development Manager, joined a panel on the mega stage alongside Baxa, Octopus Energy and Tepeo heat to discuss the rollout of heat pumps and what is holding us back.
